So I sent them in, and about a week later got two new pairs, plus a $10 gift certificate (since it was considered a new order, even though I didn't pay?). The department store ones lasted as long as the LL Bean ones (had worn holes in the bottoms). ![]() Both were about 10 years old, but I had purchased a cheep pair ($10 department store) about the same time. If anything does not live up to your expectation, send it back for repair or replacement. ![]() One thing that does impress me is their guarantee. Or I can just wait a year, and there will be a few in their outlet stores. Most of the stuff in their main store I can get from the catalog, free shipping over to NH, and no sales tax. New winter sleeping bag for my older son, and new sneakers for my younger son. We made it out of there only spending about $225. I am a frequent shopper at their outlet stores in Concord and Manchester, NH, and this one is very similar. But, across the street (now, has moved around a lot in the past 20 years) is their outlet store. As we walked through their main building, I kept saying "Oh, this is where the home things were until they moved to that other building, that is where the bikes used to be until they moved to their new building." Rarely do I ever buy anything in their main store in Freeport. I have been through there many times, in the past 20 years and each time it is bigger. When ever we go through Freeport, we stop at LL Bean. ![]()
